No, you don’t need to drop the tray sides. Half-lid boxes are designed so the lid opens without touching or interfering with the tray sides, making it easy to access your tools without any extra steps. It’s a good idea to measure your tray sides beforehand to ensure they aren’t too tall, which could affect the opening of the toolbox.

In the 705H Series boxes, the shelves are fixed in place by a welded bracket and the position can not be adjusted. In contrast, the 850H Series features shelves that can be easily adjusted to different heights to suit your needs. For both models, the shelves can be completely removed if you need extra space.

Yes, all our toolboxes are designed with rubber seals around the door openings which helps protect the contents from dust and moisture ingress.

However, whilst they are highly weather-resistant, these toolboxes are not designed to be fully submersible. The seals are meant to keep rain, road spray and dust out.
