The Global Industrial Process
Planning & Design:
The project began well before construction was completed, with Pipeline Technics reaching out to Global Industrial during the planning stages of their new facility. With a scaled PDF floorplan in hand, our team conducted a site visit to their existing premises to better understand their workflow and requirements.
While the initial brief focused solely on pallet racking, further discussions and multiple design revisions revealed a need for additional floor space. The solution was two custom-designed structural mezzanine floors, offering a clear span underneath to accommodate shelving and open floor access without structural constraints. This flexibility would not have been possible with traditional racking-supported mezzanines.
Constraints & Site Considerations
The design of the mezzanine floors had to take into account the positioning of the building columns.
Delivery & Installation
Installation was completed in just one week, with careful coordination between trades to ensure seamless delivery and minimal disruption to other aspects of the site build. All equipment was delivered to site and installed by Global Industrial’s trusted partners.
