As the name suggests, Pallet Racking is a bulk storage aid designed to store materials on pallets. The units store goods in horizontal rows with multiple levels, providing ample vertical storage. Pallets are conveniently accessible at all times (unlike drive-in racking), so it’s convenient for distribution storage or warehouses that have a large variety of stock. Warehouses commonly use Selective Pallet Racking systems, which come in one of two configurations: Structural, which hold beams in place with bolts and consequently can hold a lot of weight; and Roll-formed, which come in Multiple configurations and are easily adjustable so you can customise the height depending on the product’s size.

Drive-in Racking
Drive-in Racking is a high-density storage solution designed for companies who have a high volume of the same product, like wholesale warehouses that have a high turnover, or food and beverage facilities. The racks are designed to allow forklifts to drive into the bays and, because the pallets are pushed to the back to allow more at the front, the system uses what is called a first in-last out principle, meaning the first pallet goes to the back and is, therefore, the last one to be retrieved.
