What is a pallet racking system?
Pallet racking is a storage system designed to store pallets, allowing materials to be organised and stored in rows and on multiple levels in a warehouse. There are numerous types of pallet racking, including drive-in pallet racking, selective pallet racking.
How much does pallet racking cost?

How to install pallet racking (indoors and outdoors)?
All pallet racking is to be installed to Australian Standard 4048-2012. To install pallet racking:
- Measure out your space, marking out where you want your racking to be. Make sure to measure the distance from the wall, taking into consideration the size of your pallets.
- Assemble your first bay and then bolt it into place.
- Attach your second bay to the beams and frame of your first bay, again securing to the ground with bolts. Repeat this stage with all remaining bays.
- Once frames are in place, install beams to the level you require.

Does pallet racking need to be bolted to the floor?
As per Australian Standard 4048-2012, all pallet rack columns must be bolted to the floor of your workspace or warehouse. This prevents the racks from falling down when impacted by heavy loads or forklifts.
How much weight can pallet racking hold?
The load capacity of your pallet racking is dependent on the thickness and quality of the steel frame.

Load safety signs for pallet racking are available from Global Industrial and can be used indoors and outdoors. When installing the sign, fix it to the end of the frame of your pallet racking and more than 2000mm from the ground.
